Joel Embiid's and forward Robert Covington's 30-plus-point explosions made a 109-105 comeback against the L.A. Clippers possible on Monday night.

The Process came one point shy of his career high in scoring with 32 points and tied his career-best in rebounds with 15, but the seven-footer noted the presence of his teammate's hot shooting made all the difference getting the Philadelphia 76ers over the .500 mark.

“Every shot he takes, it’s literally like ’Oh don’t do it’ and then he just makes all of them,” said Embiid, according to Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer. So having that type of shooter like J.J. (Redick) and Justin (Anderson)… it’s good for especially as a post player. That gives me a lot of space and if you want to double team, I got to be a willing passer.”

Covington has been stroking it from deep this season and Monday's brilliant outing only made it more evident as the marksman knocked down 9-of-12 from the field, including 5-of-8 from beyond the arc on his way to a season-high 31 points.

His four steals were the most in the game, coupled with a deadeye accuracy from the free-throw line, knocking down all eight of his attempts from the stripe.
