Since he made his debut for the Philadelphia 76ers last season, Joel Embiid has been given a minutes restriction, and not been allowed to play on back-to-back sets. However, he made it known recently that he wants that to change, as he feels ready to play in consecutive nights.
The 7-foot center talked about feeling his body can take on more minutes and games, and that he is hopeful he'll get cleared by team doctors soon, via Keith Pompey of Philly.com.

“Yesterday I played, and my body feels great today. My knee feels amazing. So I feel like if I have to play today, I would play depending on how I feel. But I feel like I’m ready.”
Head coach Brett Brown also hinted that he and his staff may look to grant Embiid what he wants, as they have been surprised with how he has performed whenever he's fielded in towards the end of games.
“When I put him back in the fourth quarter, in their judgment, that warranted he could play the last four minutes,” Brown said. “It all equaled the number that kind of surprised all of us, none more than so.”

This is definitely good news for the Philly faithful as the team has a better chance of winning whenever Embiid plays. He has performed at an elite level, and has been producing stellar numbers, which is huge boost to their quest of making it to the playoffs this season should he continue to do that. It remains to be seen if he will eventually be cleared for back-to-back sets, but it is indeed promising for his fans to know that he is more than willing to see more action, and help the Sixers' cause further.
