The Golden State Warriors visited the San Antonio Spurs Thursday night for the first game of the NBA on TNT lineup in a most-anticipated matchup Spurs fans have been waiting on since being eliminated in the 2016-17 playoffs.
What makes the difference here is the fact that both Tony Parker and Kawhi Leonard are both currently on the injured reserved list, which is how it was when the Spurs were eliminated by the Warriors.
The Spurs fought hard and led the Warriors 55-50 at the half, but things turned around quickly as they were unable to sustain the lead and remain in front for the entire game. While that's not surprising considering it is the defending champion they were hosting, that didn't mean it was easy as both sides challenged each other.
In the end, the Warriors won the game 112-92, but not before coach Gregg Popovich earned himself two technical fouls before being ejected.

Popovich is never shy and has been known to speak out when he feels his team is being given a bad hand, and this night was no different.
The ejection came with 4:47 in the 4th quarter when Gregg Popovich yelled an obscenity at the game officials calling at least one of them a “terrible ******* referee” before being whistled for his second technical and walking into the tunnel to a round of applause from the crowd.
