It's only been a few days since Carmelo Anthony was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder, but he's already making friends with some of his new teammates.
Asked to describe his frontcourt mate Steven Adams, Melo was quite peculiar penciling him as a “monster, like someone from Game of Thrones,” according to Royce Young of ESPN.
When word got back to the Kiwi center, he could only joke — “That's a bit rude,” but was candid when asked about his two new All-Star teammates “Ah, they’re good lads, mate.”
The presence of Carmelo Anthony at the four spot will definitely mean less touches for Steven Adams on the block, making his primary focus on efficiency — making his few touches and offensive rebound opportunities count.

Adams must invoke his inner Game of Thrones monster and hungrily snatch rebounds away from the opposition in order to validate his $100-million extension, which he received last season.
His energy on the floor will be a must, including his defensive awareness to keep the team afloat during tough stretches.
Anthony was ultimately relieved to be able to focus on basketball again after a nightmarish summer full of rumors and a tough separation with his wife LaLa. This could potentially be a rebound year for Melo after two seasons on the decline.
