The Minnesota Timberwolves have taken a significant step forward this season currently holding the fifth-best mark in the Western Conference.

The Timberwolves are coming off a busy summer that saw them make several major additions to the roster with the likes of All-Star forward Jimmy Butler, former All-Star point guard Jeff Teague, three-time Sixth Man of the Year Jamal Crawford, and veteran big man Taj Gibson. This along with their promising young talent in Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins have significantly elevated the expectations around the team.
Minnesota could potentially be a legitimate threat in the Western Conference that could challenge the Golden State Warriors. However, they have struggled at times to be a cohesive unit that has led to them to experience three multi-game losing streaks so far this season.
With much of the year still yet to be played, it is plenty of time for them to figure it out on both ends of the floor and become a title-contending team.
