The league office warned Drake about his antics after the Eastern Conference Finals, in hopes of assuring the music mogul would better blend into the Scotiabank Arena crowd during the NBA Finals. Midway through Game 1, however, Drake suddenly found himself nearly chest to chest with Stephen Curry at a timeout, even going so far as to touch the Golden State Warriors superstar's head.

This is the second time during the playoffs that Drake has made physical contact with a player or coach from his customary courtside seat next to the Raptors' bench. In Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals, he gave Toronto coach Nick Nurse an impromptu shoulder rub. The 6 God later drew criticism from Milwaukee Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer and superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo for his overly aggressive demeanor from the sideline.

Drake, it bears reminding, has an existing relationship with both Curry and the Warriors. A notorious fair-weather fan, he began rooting for Golden State from the beginning of its ongoing dynasty, and in the interim has frequently mentioned the team and individual players in songs. After a game at Oracle Arena in December 2015, Drake went to a nearby In ‘N Out Burger with Curry and his wife, Ayesha. He also has tattoos of the jersey numbers of Curry and Kevin Durant.

It goes without saying, though, that Toronto's favorite son is rooting for the Raptors in these NBA Finals. Drake, like the rest of Canada, is no doubt celebrating on Thursday night, after Toronto beat Golden State 118-109 in Game 1.
