Los Angeles Lakers guard Danny Green is extremely happy about the news of former teammate Pascal Siakam getting a four-year max extension with the Toronto Raptors. He congratulated the third-year forward on Twitter.

Last season, Siakam averaged 16.9 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.1 assists while shooting an impressive 55 percent from the field in 80 regular-season games for the Raptors. The team secured the second-best record in the Eastern Conference and they made their way to the NBA Finals, where they took out then-two-time defending champions Golden State Warriors in six games. The 25-year-old forward was undoubtedly one of the biggest reasons why Toronto won its first-ever title
Siakam was then hailed as the Most Improved Player for his stellar 2018-19 campaign.

With Kawhi Leonard leaving the Raptors after just one season, all eyes will now be on Siakam to take his game to even greater heights. Some people believe that he has the potential to become the league's next superstar, so it is up to him to meet or exceed those expectations.
The Raptors are still a pretty competitive team as they have decided to retain last season's core. General manager Masai Ujiri said that the front office will give their players a chance to prove themselves before deciding on the moves that they will make. And while some guys on the roster have an uncertain future, Siakam is definitely an untouchable piece.
Earlier this month, the Raptors have also re-signed veteran guard Kyle Lowry, although his deal is only good for one year.
