Toronto Raptors All-Star point guard Kyle Lowry says small forward Pascal Siakam is “going to get paid” next summer.

Siakam will make $2,351,839 in 2019-20. He has a qualifying offer worth $3,487,777 for the 2020-21 season. Once the Raptors offer Siakam that qualifying offer, the talented swingman will enter restricted free agency, with all signs pointing toward Toronto offering Siakam a lucrative deal to keep him in Canada for the long-haul.

“He’s going to get paid,” Lowry said of Siakam, via Michael Lee of The Athletic. “Y’all see he did it last year. For a guy like that, you’ve just got to keep improving and keep going.”

Pascal Siakam won the 2019 Most Improved Player of the Year award. He averaged 16.9 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists for the Raptors during the regular-season while shooting 54.9 percent from the field, 36.9 percent from beyond the arc and 78.5 percent from the free-throw line.

During the 2019 playoffs, Siakam put up 19.0 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists. The Raptors defeated the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals in six games. Siakam scored 32 points in Game 1 while shooting 14-of-17 from the floor.

Superstar Kawhi Leonard left the Raptors this summer for the Los Angeles Clippers, which means Toronto is going to be asking Siakam to do a lot more next season. It wouldn't be a surprise if we see Siakam make the All-Star team in 2020.
