The Toronto Raptors made some significant changes going into the 2017-18 NBA season. However, it appears they have not skipped a beat when it comes to regular season success.
The Raptors were one of the best teams to start last season. Not much has changed this year as they sit at 25-10 after their first 35 games, as brought up by Redditor Jjab430:

The Toronto Raptors have the exact same record as they did last year with DeMar DeRozan in place of Kawhi Leonard. They're currently on pace for 59 wins, what they finished with last year.
Toronto caught plenty of flak for the changes they made this offseason. Not only did they part ways with longtime star shooting guard DeMar DeRozan, but they also decided to axe last season's Coach of the Year in Dwayne Casey. However, it is clear that Toronto has recovered quite nicely.
Of course, their success begins with the arrival of small forward Kawhi Leonard. In losing DeRozan, the Raptors got the best two-way player in the NBA. His presence has helped Toronto maintain their status as an Eastern Conference superpower. âThe Klawâ is currently averaging 26.8 points while shooting nearly 50 percent from the field. He has also tacked on 8.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.8 steals per game.
Perhaps even more impressive is that Leonard still has yet to play fully in back-to-back games. Head coach Nick Nurse has indicated that he will no longer be on a pitch count starting next month. Toronto already leads the NBA at 25-10. It is safe to assume they can maintain their hold atop the Eastern Conference with Leonard nearing full health.
