The Mavs ran into a team that wouldn't quit. For the Toronto Raptors, 2019 is a year of blessings. They won their first NBA title thanks to an incredible team effort over the Golden State Warriors in June. Sunday, they mounted the greatest comeback in their history against the Dallas Mavericks.
The Mavericks put on a shooting clinic to smoke the Raptors in the second and third quarters of the game. However, Nick Nurse's team made a strong effort at the start of the fourth to chip away at the deficit and come away with one of the most special wins in the history of the Toronto franchise.
The Raptors were naturally thrilled about it and shared their achievement with their fans.

However, the team wasn't the only party delighted with the incredible comeback they did. John Schuhmann, one of the league's top stat writers, revealed that the Raptors broke a trend that has stood for almost ten years.
It was almost 10 years ago to the day when a team last lost after leading by 30+ points. 12/21/09, when CHI lost to SAC after leading by 35: https://t.co/PB2o75Qhq3
Since then, teams had won 1,063 straight after leading by 30+ before Mavs lost (after leading by 30) in TOR today.

ESPN's Tim Bontemps revealed just how momentous this year is becoming for them as they're also primed to hit another milestone in their life as a franchise.
Down 30 with 2:32 to go in the third quarter, the Raptors closed the game on a 55-22 run — and win 110-107. The Raptors now go to Indiana for a game tomorrow … and then hosts the Celtics in their first ever Christmas Day game Wednesday.

The Athletic's Blake Murphy chimed in with another stat of their own, saying that this is the biggest upset that has happened this decade.
The Raptors complete the largest comeback in franchise history and the largest in the NBA in decade. Down 30, they beat the Mavs 110-107. K.L.O.E.

The most impressive thing about this win is the fact that they managed to win without one Pascal Siakam. He's shouldering the offensive load for the Raptors this season, averaging 25 points, eight rebounds, and four assists, so it would have made sense for Toronto to lose this one.
However, the Raptors showed heart. Kyle Lowry unleashed his All-Star talent, finishing with 32 points, eight rebounds, and 10 assists. Fred VanVleet, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, and Chris Boucher also did damage on scoring. Nick Nurse drew up plays that helped them win the game.
It was a fantastic night for the Raptors, and it's surely one fans will never easily forget.
