The Toronto Raptors are pursuing a trade to acquire Memphis Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley and the veteran guard would reportedly look positively on Toronto as an option, according to Michael Grange of Rogers Sportsnet.
The Raptors would likely part ways with Kyle Lowry in the deal, so if Toronto did acquire Conley, he would become the starting point guard for them. The Raptors have the second-best record in the Eastern Conference entering Tuesday at 38-16.
Memphis is/has talked to at least six teams regarding Gasol/Conley… Toronto among them, according to more than one source. From my understanding Conley would look positively on Toronto as an option.

Mike Conley is averaging 20.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game this season for the lowly Grizzlies. The 31-year-old is shooting 43.5 percent from the field, 35.9 percent from beyond the arc and 84.7 percent from the free-throw line.

It's easy to see why Conley would be thrilled to play for the Raptors. The team is one of the best squads in the NBA and has superstar small forward Kawhi Leonard on the roster. Toronto's fan base is also one of the best in the league.
Conley is making $30,521,115 this season and owed $32,511,623 next season. The NBA trade deadline is in two days. Memphis is in rebuild mode and looking to move Mike Conley and All-Star big man Marc Gasol.
Both players deserve to be on playoff teams, and we'll see if either or both are moved.
