Playing for the Golden State Warriors has its pros and cons, especially for rookies. Not everyone has the opportunity to be part of the defending champions, but at the same time, also has to sacrifice a lot, including playing time, as the stars get the lion's share of the minutes at their natural positions.
For Jordan Bell, he has experienced that every day at practice and during games, but also gets to learn from some of the best players in the league, like star forward Draymond Green.
Head coach Steve Kerr revealed that the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, has taken Bell under his wing, serving as both a mentor and tormentor to him. He then added that Green has a particular interest in the rookie, and continues to help him become the best player he can be, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

Steve Kerr on Jordan Bell: "Draymond has taken a particular interest in him — mentored him and tormented him at the same time."

Bell has responded well so far, and through 18 games, is making the most of the court action he receives, producing decent numbers of 4.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in only 10.0 minutes. Green will only make him better, and will definitely set him up for success as he continues his pro career. He can consider himself lucky to have the chance to be around great players on a daily basis, and if he applies all the teachings from this team, it will be hard to imagine him failing in the future.
