Kevin Durant wasn't happy with his behavior following a home win over the New York Knicks on Tuesday. The Golden State Warriors forward was ejected for the fourth time this season, and criticized official James Williams, accusing him of “targeting” him throughout the game, resulting in his ejection.

After sleeping on it, the perennial scorer calling himself a “diva” based on the way he acted throughout the game and after.

“I was being an a**hole last night,” said Durant, according to Melissa Rohlin of the San Jose Mercury News. “I was being a jerk. That one foul at the end wasn't a foul. I shouldn't have slammed the ball down like I did. I can go back and say I was being a jerk last night.”

Durant now has 10 technical fouls on the season, along with a league-leading four ejections. He's bound to get fined for each technical and the ejection, but could have yet another penalty coming down the pipe for his post-game comments on Williams' officiating.

“I deserve whatever the league is going to throw at me,” said Durant. “I wish I had handled that better, obviously. But it was kind of a heated moment for me. I could be better. It was a great learning experience for me.”

“I can't react like that. I wish I could apologize to James [Williams] because that's definitely out of my character.”

Funnily enough, it was the often-volatile Draymond Green who came to his rescue before he eventually received the second technical foul and consequent ejection, a deed coach Steve Kerr described as “the ultimate irony.”
