In lieu of his recent induction into the NFL's Hall of Fame, Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant decided to send a special shout-out to Randy Moss.

Moss, now 40 years of age, was a first-ballot inductee — and for good reason. Over the course of his illustrious career, the Rand, West Virginia native played in 218 games, scored 156 touchdowns (second most in NFL history), and racked up a grand total of 15,292 receiving yards (fourth most in NFL history) on 982 receptions. Moss played for five different teams in his career and had eight 1,200-yard seasons.

“The greatest athlete I've ever seen,” Durant wrote in his message to Moss.

Other players who were inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame for 2018 include Baltimore Ravens legend Ray Lewis, Chicago Bears icon Brian Urlacher, and superstar receiver Terrell Owens. For a full list of this year's inductees, head over to this link from NFL.com.

Moss received the news of his induction just as the other inductees did — a traditional knock on their hotel room door from David Baker, President of the NFL Hall of Fame.

“The door knocked and I started getting excited,” Moss said of Hall of Fame president David Baker alerting him he has been elected. “All the emotions caught the best of me because it's been a long journey, and it ends in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Tears of joy.”

Like Durant, ClutchPoints would like to congratulate all of this year's NFL Hall of Fame inductees. All things considered, 2018 will go down as a great class.
