Fans certainly got their money's worth after an eventful matchup between the Golden State Warriors and New Orleans Pelicans. It was clear early on that that both teams were prepared to turn up the intensity if the situation called for it, which naturally it did.
Things ultimately culminated during a heated exchange between superstars Kevin Durant and DeMarcus Cousins late in the game. Although both were inevitably ejected, their confrontation had apparently spilled over in the hallway going into the locker rooms. However, Durant discussed their spat following the game and insisted players do not have any intention of hurting one another per NBA TV:
“Nobody on the floor is going to fight, nobody in the NBA is going to throw punches. We're just talking, getting into it…..it's a heated matchup, it was a heated conversation. We said what we had to say and just moved on,” Durant said. “If it escalates, we got teammates and so many people that can get in between and prevent us from doing anything stupid because we're grown men, we don't want to get into nothing. It is what it is, we're both going to stand up for ourselves and that's what happened.”

Cousins had been an active participant in the rough style of play all night. Before Durant, he also got into a shoving match with superstar forward Draymond Green. From then on, it seems to be only a matter of time before someone else got caught in the crosshairs.
Meanwhile, Durant has had some issues staying in games as of late. This was his second ejection over the past week and third already in the 2017-18 NBA season. Needless to say, the former MVP is going to have to start toning things down a bit in the near future.
