Kevin Durant won't make much of his Golden State Warriors teammate Klay Thompson regaining his hot shooting touch after a 43-point night against the New York Knicks.

Thompson had been on a slump for the first half of the season, shooting merely 34 percent from deep, but he now has bounced back to shoot 43 percent or better in the last five games, including a scorching 7-of-16 night against the Knicks.

“It's good to see Klay knocking down shots, for sure, but nobody's worried about him. He's Klay Thompson,” said Durant. “We just want him to keep shooting, keep being aggressive, which you always do. But it's not like we're looking at his hand and saying ‘welcome back, we missed you.' But it definitely turns us up a notch when Klay is on fire like that.

Klay Thompson had previously refused to call it a slump, citing that there were very few people that he would listen to for any advice on his shot, knowing it would come back at some point.

The 6-foot-7 sharpshooter is shooting a robust 51.3 percent in his last five games after shooting merely 33.7 percent in December, despite putting up attempts at a high volume.

Thompson has shot 40 percent or better in each of his seven prior seasons in the league, but he's now only working his percentages this time around, up to 35.6 percent this season after hitting at a career-high 44 percent clip in 2017-18.
