The Washington Wizards have dropped back-to-back games and are now 13th in the Eastern Conference after Tuesday's disappointing loss to the New York Knicks. After the defeat, All-Star guard Bradley Beal had some interesting comments about their effort. Or the lack of it.
Beal, who has always expressed his thoughts directly, went on a lengthy monologue about the Wizards' mentality and the importance of controlling what they can on the court.
Scott Brooks talked about a lack of physicality in his postgame comments tonight.

Beal’s pointed comments touched more on the importance of playing with more grit, heart, and preparation. He mentioned that in the NBA, players must be ready every night and play at their highest level. According to Beal, if players don’t possess the aforementioned traits, they don't belong in the NBA at all.

The Wizards have had an up-and-down season so far. They were on a losing streak to begin the campaign but eventually started a winning streak. They have defeated the Los Angeles Lakers and the Brooklyn Nets twice. They, however, just can’t seem to find the consistency despite Beal leading the NBA in scoring with 32.1 points per game.
The question about the Wizards’ winning consistency looms this second half of the season. Will they be able to squeeze into the NBA Playoffs? Will Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook get more from their teammates in the next coming games? The Wizards look to bounce back in a rematch against the Knicks on Thursday before facing the Detroit Pistons and the Indiana Pacers.
