The Washington Wizards started the second half of the season on a sour note, which left Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook pulling off their best smoke and mirrors trick. The two superstars weren't available for any comments after their 127-112 away loss against the Memphis Grizzlies.
According to Fred Katz of The Athletic, it was only Troy Brown Jr. who was present for the Wizards to talk to the media after the loss.

Something tells me that Kyrie Irving is applauding both Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook after being invisible post-game. The Brooklyn Nets superstar has had a complicated relationship with the media and it looks like more stars are following suit.

Beal had a tough shooting night, as he needed 22 shots to get to 21 points and was just 1-8 from deep. Meanwhile, Westbrook ended with 20 points and missed all of his three attempts from outside the arc for the Wizards. They were both also victims to a huge performance from Grizzlies big man Jonas Valanciunas, who dropped 29 points and 20 boards to lead the home squad. The 2020 top rookie Ja Morant also added 20 points and 10 dimes.
On a positive note, there was a lot of good that came out of Brown's interview, as he seemed to have been in the best of moods. The 21-year-old shared that he was able to reunite with his dog, Dex, who had been missing for almost a week.

Aside from all the canine banter, there wasn't a lot to take away from Wednesday night. Unfortunately, we were left with more questions than answers from the Wizards as they head back to DC to host the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday.
