LeBron James, Magic Johnson and a slew of past and present NBA players and coaches are all in awe after Washington Wizards guard Russell Westbrook became the league's all-time leader in triple-doubles on Monday.
Westbrook achieved the feat in the Wizards' narrow 125-14 loss to the Atlanta Hawks, as he recorded another absurd statline of 28 points, 13 rebounds and 21 assists. The mark propelled him to 182 triple-doubles in his career, one more than the previous all-time record held by Oscar Robertson.
After his insane showing, the Wizards uploaded a video filled with messages from Westbrook's peers in the NBA, including LeBron, Johnson and Robertson himself, as well as Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic, Bradley Beal and more.
Check out the congratulatory messages below (via Wizards Twitter):

Some players also took it to Twitter to show their appreciation for the Wizards guard, including Jamal Crawford who expressed his disbelief of seeing a player average a triple-double in a season (something which Russell Westbrook has done multiple times already).
Gotta be honest, never thought I would see a player avg a triple double for a season in my lifetime. To do it 4 out of the last 5 seasons!!! 😲😲. Now to be the ALL time leader. Iconic. All praise due!! 👑💯 #WHYNOT @russwest44

Entering Monday's game, there was never any doubt Westbrook would break the triple-double record. After all, with Beal out due to hamstring injury, the Wizards needed Brodie to be his usual self. And he did show it. While Washington eventually lost, it doesn't take away the fact that Russ went all out once again in an attempt to lead his team to victory.
Although some so-called experts downplay Westbrook's greatness, let other NBA stars and legends tell you: what he just did is simply incredible.
