Russell Westbrook and the rim had a love-hate relationship on Wednesday when the Sacramento Kings visited the Washington Wizards. Brodie wanted to hammer it down in a couple of possessions but the bucket seemed to have a lid on it as the ball went flying after his missed dunk attempts.
First, it was Westbrook versus the rim in the second quarter as the former MVP ran down for a potential transition slam. Westbrook split the double team and drove hard to the basket but the rock bounced off the rim and landed all the way out of bounds near the halfcourt line. Now that's power (via Rob Perez).

Westbrook's duel with the rim didn't stop there. Late in the game, the nine-time All-Star missed his second dunk in a crucial stretch of the game. This time, the ball flew all the way to the stands after another rim-crushing slam attempt from Westbrook. He might want to take out his shooting sleeves again.

The 32-year-old playmaker did end up with an impressive triple-double with 26 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists. Unfortunately, the Wizards ended up losing the game to the Kings by just a single bucket, 121-119. Imagine the possibilities if Russell Westbrook just made one of those two massive misses.
