The Washington Wizards have also reportedly interviewed Oklahoma City Thunder Vice President of Basketball Operations Troy Weaver for their vacant general manager position.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, besides Danny Ferry and Houston Rockets Executive Vice President Gersson Rosas, the Wizards also talked to Weaver this Tuesday.

The Wizards fired team president and general manager Ernie Grunfeld last April 3. Grunfeld was one of the longest-tenured executives in the NBA. He served the Wizards organization for 16 seasons. During that span, the Washington franchise amassed a 568-724 win-loss record and made eight playoff appearances.
Article Continues BelowAt the time of Grunfeld's dismissal, the Wizards had a woeful 32-46 win-loss record. They won just 32 of their 82 regular season games in 2018-19 and missed the playoffs for the first time in three years.
It remains to be seen whom will the Wizards choose to lead the franchise to a new direction. However, they are expected to take things slowly, with team owner Ted Leonsis determined to ‘hit the reboot' button for the team
Should Troy Weaver become the Wizards general manager, he will capitalize on free agency and next month's NBA Draft to improve the team's fortunes. With a healthy John Wall and Dwight Howard expected to take the court in 2019-20, Washington should compete for a playoff berth next season.
