Oral Roberts is going deep in the NCAA Tournament.
After stunning Ohio State to open their stint and ruin more than 90 percent of March Madness brackets, the Golden Eagles continue to soar high. This time, the team took down the 7th-seeded Florida Gators in the second round to move on to the Sweet 16.
With their Cinderella still very much active, Oral Roberts made history as only the second team in men's NCAA history to make it to the Sweet 16. As SB Nation noted, only the 2013 Florida Gulf Coast Eagles were able to do it before them.
There's something about “Eagles” and March Madness huh?

For what it's worth, Oral Roberts has studs Kevin Obanor and Max Abmas to thank for their Sweet 16 berth in the NCAA Tournament. They were the only players to score in double digits for the Golden Eagles, but their efforts were more than enough to outlast the Gators, albeit by a small margin, 81-78.
Obanor finished with a double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds. Meanwhile, Abmas added 26 points, two rebounds and seven assists in an all-around performance. More amazingly, both young stars played 40 minutes each to will the team to victory.
As for the Gators, they had four players scoring in double digits. However, none of them made more than 20 points, with Tre Mann top-scoring the squad with 19.
It remains to be seen if Oral Roberts can continue their spectacular run in the NCAA Tournament, but one thing is worth remembering: it's called March Madness for upsets like this.
