Down its starting quarterback and on the road, the Iowa State Cyclones did the unthinkable. The team managed to upset the Oklahoma Sooners.
Oklahoma is clearly overrated and are now very obviously washed.
OK. We kid. However, you just know that is going to be the reaction to the loss. Hell has no fury like a scorned Oklahoma fan… or something.
Iowa State was without starting gunslinger Jacob Park, who is going to miss some time as he is on personal leave for undisclosed medical reasons. In his place, Kyle Kempt tossed it around for 343 yards and three touchdowns. For good measure, because why not it was an upset, Joel Lanning tossed it for 35 other yards and also ran around for 35.

“Jacob is a great young man dealing with some personal medical concerns,” head coach Matt Campbell said in a statement. “We are committed to helping him cope, supporting him on all levels and helping him prepare to get back on the playing field with his teammates as soon as possible.”
Jacob Park had been Iowa State’s starter for all four games played prior to Saturday's contents. He has completed 61.7 percent of his attempts for 1,181 yards and nine touchdowns with only five interceptions. This is obviously a pretty huge loss for the Cyclones.
Return of the Cyclone. The Cyclone Wars. All the puns are now fashionable.
