It is Tuesday. It is the day after Labor Day. That means that the latest AP Poll has been made public, which has already resulted in some backlash on the mean streets of Twitter.
After all, what doesn't result in backlash on social media?
In what isn't even remotely shocking, the Alabama Crimson Tide remain the No. 1 overall ranked team in the nation. In fact, the only other team that received a first place vote was the Ohio State Buckeyes. Urban Meyer and company only received one of those, for what it is worth.
Having lost both its starting quarterback and its first game of the season, the Florida State Seminoles dropped to No. 9. Not a horrible drop all things considered, but it will be interesting to see how the pollsters treat FSU now that the Seminoles will be moving forward with a backup gunslinger.
There were some newcomers to the AP Poll this week, too. No. 23 TCU and No. 24 Notre Dame both managed to crack the top-25. Mathematically speaking, if two teams broke the top-25 code, that means two others fell out of the hearts and minds of pollsters. Dropping out were No. 23 Texas and No. 25 Utah.

What does all of this mean? Nothing, really. Preseason polls are mostly useless and there's still more than 10 football games for each of these schools to be played. As we learned in the opening week, between injuries and general tomfoolery, a lot can happen week-to-week.
