The Oregon Ducks are known for fancy uniforms. Thanks to the Nike connection the university has, it is with each week that a new jersey makes its way to the public.
As for the latest Oregon uniform, the university has really outdone itself. Instead of solely relying on the geniuses at Nike, both the company and the school turned to three cancer survivors for help.
Joe MacDonald (14), Sophia Malinoski (10) and Ethan Frank (13) were all matched with an Oregon football player to design a part of the uniform and. Childhood cancer survivors, all did a tremendous job and should be awfully proud of the work they did.
Here is the one they designed:

For those interested in who was paired with who and what pairing designed what part of the uniform:
- Joe was paired with defensive lineman Justin Hollins and designed the cleats, tights and the socks.
- Sophia worked with offensive lineman Tyrell Crosby to create the helmet and the iconic duck logo.
- Frank worked with defensive back Khalil Oliver on the jersey and the pants.
The official Oregon football account tweeted out the greatness.

Former Oregon gunslinger Marcus Mariota also took note of the uniforms. More importantly, he took note of the three kids who aided in making them look so nice.

College football isn't always the sanctuary away from real-life problems many want it to be. Often, all the ugliness that goes along with the sport makes it too hard to just get away. But sometimes, even if rarer than we want to admit, the non-sport part of college football more than makes up for it all.
