NBA guru Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN has just reported that the Brooklyn Nets will be appointing former Turner executive David Levy as the organization's new chief executive officer.

According to Woj, Levy joins the Nets following a lengthy stint with Turner Sports network, and that it is also worth noting how the high-ranking executive has a good working relationship with the current league commissioner.

Levy worked closely with the NBA in his capacity overseeing Turner Sports' television sports coverage and holds a strong relationship with commissioner Adam Silver.

Levy could not have joined the Nets at a better time, with the organization now looking to turn a historic page in the franchise's history books. After years of being among the bottom-dwellers in the league, Brooklyn have now established themselves as one of the most talent-packed teams in the entire NBA, with the recent acquisitions of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant in free agency.

The Nets front office appeared to have done everything right, as they were able to successfully hijack these two superstars from under the noses of their bitter cross-town rivals, the New York Knicks. Moreover, Brooklyn have built quite a supporting cast around their two new superstars, with the likes of Spencer Dinwiddie, Joe Harris, Caris LeVert, and Jarrett Allen all in the mix for this very promising squad.

The groundwork may have already been laid out prior to Levy's arrival, but it's not going to be an easy road ahead for him by any means.

Now, there is much more pressure on the Nets to perform, and quite frankly, anything less than a championship within the next few years would ultimately be considered as a failure.
