Brooklyn Nets big man DeAndre Jordan has tested positive for the coronavirus. His mom, Kimberly Jordan, reacted to the diagnosis and possibly hinting where his son contracted the virus.
Via Twitter, Kimberly Jordan drew the attention of the NBA community and Nets fans by expressing her confusion as to why Jordan had to go back to New York. The City, after all, has one of the highest number of cases in the country.

Though it's unclear whether it was really in New York where Jordan got the virus, it's still a cause of concern for his mother. The same concern is carried by Nets fans. After all, the team is one of the 22 squads set to return to action in the bubble location in Orlando.
Though there's still one full month before the resumption of the 2019-20 season, Jordan has already confirmed that he won't be joining the Nets in their playoff pursuit. The team sport a 30-24 record for seventh place in the East. While there are only nine teams set to return to action in the East, there's still no guarantee that the Nets will make it.
Since apart from Jordan, Kevin Durant is out while Kyrie Irving's status is still in the balance. Without the Nets' top players, the Orlando Magic — who are at the ninth spot with a 24-40 record — may come sneaking in to take that final playoff spot.
It's a pretty dire picture for the Nets who are projected to be one of the top teams in the years to come. Hopefully, this won't last for long.
