The Brooklyn Nets are going to be one of the busiest teams in free agency and have already reportedly come to terms on an agreement with superstar point guard Kyrie Irving. Reports have also come out that the Nets are confident they will be able to land Kevin Durant and possibly even DeAndre Jordan.

According to a report from ESPN's Marc J. Spears, the Nets have added veteran guard Garrett Temple on a two-year contract worth $10 million.

It's a bit of a curious move with the Nets needing cap space to sign Irving, Durant, and Jordan, but it's a quality signing. Temple is an incredibly underrated player and brings the type of shooting and defense that championship caliber teams need to have.

Last season split between the Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Clippers, Temple ended up averaging 7.8 points per game to go along with 2.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists.

At 33 years old, Temple still has a few good years of basketball left in him. He will add excellent depth and support behind the stars that Brooklyn brings in. Even if they miss out on Durant or Jordan, Temple is going to provide an excellent presence on the court.

Expect to hear a lot more about the Nets this evening. Durant is going to make his decision soon after free agency opens. Until then, the Nets are happy to be getting a role player like Temple.
