With the Brooklyn Nets mired in controversy for a sizable chunk of this turbulent season, there came some pretty reassuring James Harden news for fans just before the tipoff of their home game versus Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets.

By now you have probably been inundated with the many Harden-for-Ben Simmons trade rumors out there. Daryl Morey has been trying to reunite with the player he once built the Houston Rockets around, and that leaves many wondering what's going to become of the Nets' Big 3 of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and Harden.

Might this season truly be their final run at a ring?

A recent Bleacher Report article suggested that The Beard is open to the idea of playing with Sixers' MVP candidate Joel Embiid, an idea that ESPN's Kendrick Perkins echoed.

Jake Fischer reports:

“James isn't going to hold back,” said a person familiar with Harden. “He's gonna tell you where he stands.”

Harden has been vocal to Nets figures and close contacts alike about his frustrations regarding Kyrie Irving's part-time playing status.”

And while many tried to decipher what is noise and what is signal, ESPN Insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the most credible NBA reporter of all, dropped some bombs on a recent ESPN segment Wednesday.

Per Woj on the ESPN appearance:

“James Harden has repeatedly told management, ownership, those in the organization that he is committed to being a Net. That he wants to win a championship there. And more than that the Big 3 in Brooklyn, Kevin Durant, James Harden, Kyrie Irving what they say publicly they also say privately which is when they're together, they believe they're unstoppable.”

We did a deep dive on the three things the Nets must do to keep The Beard Happy in Brooklyn. We have also urged Sean Marks and the Nets not to panic trade the 2018 NBA MVP. They can offer $70 million more than any rival team if James Harden were to test the free agent waters–something he said he'd like to do–even though his ultimate plan is to stay with Durant and Irving.

Updates like the one Woj offered here will make Nets fans extremely happy. It sounds like despite a constant barrage of trade rumors, their core is still content to stay in New York and try to build a dynasty.
