Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant speaks out on why James Harden wasn't the main reason they won against the New Orleans Pelicans. Harden had one of his best games this season on Friday night, scoring 39 points and 12 assists while knocking down a huge dagger late in the game to secure the 120-112 road win.

But, per Durant, it wasn't really Harden who dictated the pace for the Nets early on. Rather, it was actually Joe Harris.

“It's always good for our team when [James and I are] aggressive like that,” said the two-time Finals MVP (via Dave Early). “Cause we can create so much getting into the paint. But to be honest, Joe Harris really got us going….but Joe set the tone for us with his scoring and we just fed off of him.”

Harris had it going in The Big Easy. The former Three-Point Contest champ started off hot and knocked down his first five shots of the game and tallied a total of 24 points on 6-of-8 shooting from outside the arc. And, everyone knows how much things open up for both Harden and Durant when ‘Joe Buckets' is cooking like this.

Harris' hot-shooting night definitely opened the floor for both former MVPs. Although it was Harden who led the way for the Nets, Durant still managed to drop 28 points, seven boards, and eight dimes as the Kyrie Irving-less Nets continue to roll.
