Now that the Brooklyn Nets season is over, Kyrie Irving is unwinding and truly speaking his mind. After taking shots at fans who gamble on his performances and even ranting about OnlyFans, Irving is directing his attention back to his detractors.

Irving posted a video of himself on Instagram listening to Kendrick Lamar's newly released song “The Heart Part 5” in a car. The Nets star referred to his haters as cockroaches.

Few current players have as much history speaking out against the haters as Irving, especially with such creative language. From his comment about not wanting to “talk to pawns” to later referring to them as “puppet masters”, Irving is always brutally honest with colorful langaue. While he enjoys his offseason, his future with the Nets remains uncertain.

Irving's contract includes a $36 million player option for next season and expires after that. Nets general manager Sean Marks touted a player's availability when recently discussing his team's season. While this is an obvious trait for any GM to want in a player, it is particularly notable to Irving, who sat out most of the team's games last season on top of having a lengthy injury history.

In the three years since Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving joined the Nets, they have yet to lead the franchise to anything significant. After only one playoff series win in three years, the star duo has lots of pressure to deliver.
