What would the world be without another Kyrie Irving story? Much has been said about the polarizing situation of the Brooklyn Nets star and his adamant refusal to take the COVID-19 vaccine. But the fact that he still can't suit up because of his stubborn stance hasn't been warmly welcomed by many fans.

Nets coach Steve Nash has repeatedly implied that Irving is not their main focus anymore. With the enigmatic guard not budging, one NBA executive allegedly said there's only one feasible option left for the Nets: Trade Irving to the Philadelphia 76ers. Because in case you still don't know, the Sixers are also having trouble with their superstar guard, Ben Simmons.

So according to the NBA executive, who chose to be anonymous, swapping the two All-Star playmakers is too logical to pass up (via HoopsHype).

“I would’ve said Philly legitimately made sense with the swap of Ben Simmons and Kyrie. That’s a team I could’ve seen who’s going for it and needs a scoring guard. That’s literally the only one I could see.”

The Nets, however, could be battling the Boston Celtics for the services of Simmons. Rumors have surfaced that the Celtics are also interested in taking the left-handed guard in exchange for star wingman Jaylen Brown.

HoopsHype also reported that NBA executives are “scared to death” of dealing with Irving, so a trade with the Sixers might be easier said than done. Not to mention that both the Nets and the Sixers are already doing pretty well without Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons.
