Brooklyn Nets head coach Steve Nash had a rather cryptic response when asked about the status of the unvaccinated Kyrie Irving for training camp.

The Nets have already kicked off their preseason with a 123-97 win over the Los Angeles Lakers in L.A., but the second-year head coach admitted that there are still no updates on the status of his starting point guard.

The Nets' big three were all unavailable for Sunday's preseason game against the Lakers, but both James Harden and Kevin Durant were in the arena. Irving, on the other hand, was not.

When asked if he expects the former NBA champion to be in practice as the Nets return back home to Brooklyn, Nash literally had no clue of what's going on with Kyrie Irving (via ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk):

Irving has been under the microscope due to his firm stand about not getting the COVID-19 vaccine despite a ton of pressure from around the league, as well as a local mandate which could cause Irving to miss games and a ton of money. Yet, the ever-polarizing figure remains firm on his stance and beliefs which have caused quite a stir within the organization.

With less than a month to go before the season tips off, it seems as though there are way more questions than answers with regard to the status of the Nets' seven-time All-Star.
