The Brooklyn Nets have been linked to both Damian Lillard and Tyler Herro this offseason, but Mikal Bridges is excited about the Nets' roster heading into next season.

“Yeah, pretty much, I think so,” Mikal Bridges said, via Brian Lewis of the New York Post. “And I'm pretty excited about it. I mean, I love the guys that we've got, just bring everybody back and finally go through preseason and new coaching staff and for Jacque [Vaughn] just to have his preseason and have his coaching staff whoever he wants and put what he wants coming in for him.”

Bridges came to the Nets in the trade that sent Kevin Durant to the Phoenix Suns. While Brooklyn's super team that had Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving broke up, they did get a very good player back in Bridges. They can now build around him.

It will also be Jacque Vaughn's first full season as head coach of the Nets. He did what he could to salvage last season, and now it will be about building a new winner with the Nets.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Damian Lillard and Tyler Herro. The Nets could take advantage of the situation, whether it is to land Lillard or a quality rotation player in Herro.

The Nets likely do not view themselves as a team that can contend for an NBA championship this season, but this could be something that gets them closer. Regardless, it seems Bridges is content with his team going into next season.
