The Brooklyn Nets could be willing to roll the dice on the trade market, a sign that the franchise could finally be in the playoff hunt, now sitting a game and a half away from getting into the playoff picture.

Currently sporting a 14-18 record, the Nets have managed to run off a six-game win streak, taking down three big names in the process, including the Toronto Raptors, Philadelphia 76ers and most recently the Los Angeles Lakers in true clutch fashion.

According to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, the Nets could try their hand at a swap in the near future, waiting for the right time to snag a potential asset to help with their playoff aspirations.

Suddenly they're two games out of sixth in the East and sources report they are hinting in talks with teams they could be a buyer at the trade deadline. That's not something that has been heard in years.

The Nets have done more than just keep the ship afloat without the injured Caris LeVert, but have managed to build on their chemistry and find winning basketball at the hands of D'Angelo Russell and Spencer Dinwiddie, two cogs who have played a major role in their progress as a playoff contender.

Brooklyn sits in 10th place in the East, but boasts the longest winning streak in the league, a really encouraging sign given the upward trend they have followed under general manager Sean Marks and head coach Kenny Atkinson — two patient men who have believed in the waiting game and now wait for the right time to strike a deal.
