The trade deadline is quickly approaching just over a month away, which has begun to spark up the rumor mill about potential players that could be on the move.

One of which may be Brooklyn Nets veteran forward DeMarre Carroll as Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN has reported is drawing interest from a few other teams around the league.

Teams are targeting the availability of Brooklyn's DeMarre Carroll, Utah's Alec Burks, Orlando's Evan Fournier and Atlanta's Kent Bazemore, among others.

The 31-year-old is in his first season with the Nets after being traded from the Toronto Raptors over the offseason. He is currently averaging 12.4 points on 39.4 percent shooting from the field and 33.7 percent from 3-point range with a career-high 6.7 rebounds while starting in all 36 games that he has played this year.

Carroll leads the Nets in starts, rebounds and minutes per game (28.8) while also notching a career-best four double-doubles this season. Although Brooklyn has struggled to find consistent success due to injuries, he has been one of the stable contributors on a nightly basis.

This has alone likely made him an intriguing player on the trade market given what he brings to the table on both ends of the floor. He is also in the third year of his four-year, $58 million deal that doesn't include any player or team options while making $14.8 million and $15.4 million respectively in the final two seasons under contract.

However, Carroll's availability may hinge on what offers they receive for him as he has played a major part in helping keep the team afloat despite with major injuries to the backcourt. Brooklyn is just five games out of the final playoff spot while third-year guard D'Angelo Russell is nearing his return to the court from his knee injury. All of this may ultimately hinge on how the team is playing leading up to the trade deadline.
