The Kansas City Chiefs select Skyy Moore with the 54th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Moore, a wide receiver out of Western Michigan University, will be a huge boost to Kansas City's air game.

According to his NFL prospect profile, Moore is highly regarded because of his consistent productivity throughout his three years with the Western Michigan Broncos. However, his most impressive season is definitely the most recent. In 12 games in 2021, Moore led his team in all reception statistics. He recorded 95 receptions for 1,292 yards and ten touchdowns, per ESPN.

Based on his NCAA statistics, it's obvious that Moore has a promising future in the NFL. However, he has a huge disadvantage compared to the other receivers in his draft class. Moore is 5'10” and 195 lbs. Meanwhile, Jameson Williams out of Alabama is 6'2″, and Drake London of USC is 6'5″.

That being said, what will Moore bring to the X team that sets him apart from the rest of the receivers in his class?

According to his profile, Moore has the “ability to tilt coverage with his press release” and “creates space with route leverage.” He also has efficient footwork off of stop routes and is quick to make eye contact with his quarterback after a break. Moore can do all of this while maintaining both productivity and a good overall pace.

From being a receiver in Western Michigan to a top prospect in the 2022 NFL Draft, Moore is ready to take on his latest role as the newest member of the Chiefs.
