The big news on the unofficial first day of free agency—the opening of legal tampering—is obvious. It's the Miami Dolphins releasing beast defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh, as ESPN's Jeff Darlington had it first.

The fallout includes much intrigue as many suitors could line up for the 31-year-old interior defensive lineman. In fact, ESPN speculates that as many as eight teams make sense for the five-time Pro Bowler.

Of course, Suh began his career in the Motor City, which is why the Lions on this list is one that's intriguing. Drafted second overall out of the University of Nebraska in 2010, the interior beast was a dominant force with the Lions for five seasons.

He was named to four Pro Bowls while receiving an amazing three First-Team All-Pro nods during those five initial seasons. Racking up 36 sacks was only part of his prowess. Playing in his usual 3-technique spot out of the 4-3, Suh was the most feared run stuffer in the NFL.

His career has tailed off a bit with the Dolphins over the last three seasons. His sack number totaled 15.5 in South Beach and while he did make the Pro Bowl in 2016, his other two seasons represented good-to-average campaigns.

Ndamukong Suh is absolutely capable of still producing at a high level. He'll just have to do it for a decent price, not the absurd six-year, $144.375 million deal he signed back in 2015.
