The Miami Dolphins certainly were not a great team this past season, but they weren't terrible, either, winning seven games and actually remaining in playoff contention up until the final couple of weeks.

But, going into 2019, the Dolphins are expected to be bad. Really bad.

So bad, as a matter of fact, that BetOnline.ag is favoring them to have the worst record in the NFL in 2019.

The fact that Miami is viewed as a worse club than the Arizona Cardinals is truly saying something, seeing as how the Cardinals went a league-worst 3-13 in 2018.

The Dolphins have undergone some changes this offseason, firing head coach Adam Gase after three seasons and replacing him with former New England Patriots defensive coordinator Brian Flores.

In addition, Miami has made a change at quarterback, ending the Ryan Tannehill era after seven seasons and signing veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick while also trading for second-year signal-caller Josh Rosen.

While Fitzpatrick is currently viewed as the favorite to win the starting job, it would not be the least bit surprising to see Rosen, whom the Dolphins obviously want to be their quarterback of the future, end up under center in Week 1 or at some point during the season.

Aside from its horrendous one-win campaign back in 2007, Miami has rarely been a bottom-dwelling team, but that does not mean the Dolphins have been successful as a franchise in recent years.

Miami has made the playoffs just once since 2009 and just twice since 2002. To make matters worse, the Dolphins have not won a playoff game since the 2000-01 campaign.
