NFL Network analyst and former quarterback David Carr critiqued Jameis Winston's workout technique on Thursday. Carr said that the exercise Winston does where he moves his head out of the way of a moving punching bag isn't very helpful.

Carr said in a tweet that Winston should get some help and stop allowing his friends to train him. To which Winston responded on Friday:

“Hey bro I have nothing but love for you! Reach out to help or mind your business though,” tweeted Winston. “I’ve been working with my personal trainer since I was 14! We built this from the bottom and we’re still building. Treat others how you want to be treated bro! #Lahater #SocialDistancing”

Winston even provided video evidence of an instance on the field where knowing how to duck out of harm's way is helpful.

Carr played 11 seasons in the NFL and did not exactly have a very fruitful career. So perhaps Winston's response was also rooted in the fact that Carr probably shouldn't be saying much for that reason alone.

While Winston's exercise may look ridiculous (let's be real: it does), it's probably a bit overboard for Carr to have told him to find another trainer.

Winston is currently a free agent after Tom Brady took his job in Tampa Bay.

The 26-year-old spent the first five years of his career with the Buccaneers. He was chosen No. 1 overall by the Bucs back in 2015 and had immense potential coming out of Florida State. But he has yet to realize it.

The fifth-year QB threw 33 touchdowns and 30 interceptions in 2019. Making him the first player in NFL history to finish with 30 touchdowns and 30 picks in the same season.
