All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman dealt with a flurry of different injuries in 2021 which prevented him from playing much for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Now, he's a free agent and hoping to latch on with another NFL team. But at 34-years-old, it appears Sherman is ready to take the next step in his career. However, it will be off the field.

Per Ian Rapoport, Sherman is in negotiations with Amazon about joining their broadcast team for the 2022 season.

Interesting opportunity for Sherman. It looks like we'll see him either calling or analyzing NFL games instead of playing in them. But as Rapoport noted, Sherman plans to stay in shape just in case another chance to suit up arises. His personality and outspoken ways could definitely be a hit in the booth, too.

Sherman spent the first seven seasons of his NFL career with the Seattle Seahawks before they released him after 2017. He ultimately signed with the San Francisco 49ers before joining Tom Brady and the Bucs in 21′.

Amazon is making moves in the NFL world. They now have the rights to Thursday Night Football and even hired Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit to headline the booth. They also brought in former tight-end Tony Gonzalez for a studio role. Richard Sherman looks to be the next big name joining the team.
