The NFL has already seen a heavy dose of injuries to the quarterback position and now a couple of teams might be hitting the market. As it turns out, one former NFL signal-caller is eyeing a comeback. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Robert Griffin is hoping to play in the NFL again and has his eyes set on the Washington Football Team.

Griffin to Washington had been in the cards for some time after Ryan Fitzpatrick suffered an injury in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers and headed for the IR. Taylor Heinicke has played well for Washington, but they do need some others on the roster and maybe Griffin is an option.

On the other hand, the Houston Texans now need a quarterback with Tyrod Taylor on IR as well and Davis Mills being named the starter, so there are a few NFL teams that might consider Griffin.

Griffin was last with the Baltimore Ravens as the backup to Lamar Jackson, and he might be able to provide at least some backup ability for some NFL teams needing to fill roster spots after a rash of injuries early on.

Griffin already clamored once for the Washington job, and maybe other teams bring him in to see what he has left.
