Fox News host Tomi Lahren had some strong words about the NFL and Jay-Z's announced partnership on the league's entertainment events and community activism. Lahren took to Twitter to blast the NFL saying “apparently the league doesn’t hate America and law enforcement officers at a level satisfactory enough for the former drug dealer.”

Jay-Z has, at times, been very outspoken about the league, including when he turned down a Super Bowl halftime show saying “You need me, I don’t need you.”

When Roger Godell was asked about bringing in Jay-Z he seemed to hint a bit at the negative comments that Jay-Z has had about the league.

“We don’t want people to come in and necessarily agree with us; we want people to come in and tell us what we can do better,” Goodell said via The Root. “I think that’s a core element of our relationship between the two organizations, and with Jay and I personally.”

Jay-Z was very outspoken about supporting Colin Kaepernick.

“Would you rather be playing football, getting your head dinged in, or would you rather be an iconic figure for the rest of your life?” Jay-Z told CNN’s Van Jones last year.

This is one of the times that both sides of the conversation don't seem super excited about the deal, but the NFL and Jay-Z seem to think it's a great idea, so we will see how it all works out.
