With all of the talks on contract discussions in the Cowboys organization, there's just one more star from Dallas that's looking for a new deal. Tony Romo's contract with CBS is ending after this season and he's looking for $10 million per year.

Romo knows his value as a color commentator with his incredible ways of calling the play ahead of time and insight and knowledge of the game of football. And with his contract about to be up, he could end up being the most sought after broadcaster in a very long time.

He would love to stay with his current broadcasting job with his enjoyment of working for the CBS station.

“I love working for CBS. I love the fact that I get to be an analyst doing football games.”

Plus with his close friendship with his broadcast partner, Jim Nantz, it would be the perfect place for him to call games if the company can give him the money he's asking to earn. And it's not too far of a reaching number with Troy Aikman making $7.5 million on Fox. Raiders head coach Jon Gruden made $6 million per year when he was the Monday Night Football color commentator on ESPN. And the incomparable John Madden made $8 million per year for his work in the '90s.

Romo has a chance to call his second Super Bowl after the 2020 season with the change in scheduling between CBS and Fox and he's a part of the number one broadcasting team for CBS.

If his network wants him to not test free agency waters, then they need to sign him right away. Fortunately, he won't experience the same treatment he felt the last time he was a free agent.
