NFL teams aren't the only ones making changes in the offseason. It sounds like Troy Aikman is set to make a move himself, as he could be leaving Fox Sports for ESPN. This would be a huge move, as Aikman would be hired to commentate during Monday Night Football.

According to the New York Post, “ESPN is deep in negotiations with Fox Sports’ Troy Aikman to make him its lead analyst on ‘Monday Night Football.'” This would be a big move for ESPN, as they've struggled to find top talent to commentate on one of the NFL's biggest games each week.

ESPN has attempted to make moves to bring in a big-name commentator for Monday Night Football. Even so, they've failed to reel in guys like Peyton Manning and Drew Brees. Manning at least started his own telecast, but it's not the official commentary choice for the NFL.

Aikman would be a great addition for ESPN, as he's done a great job for Fox Sports. It might feel weird seeing Troy Aikman talking it up with someone other than Joe Buck, but he has years of experience and should be able to do a great job. As for Fox Sports, it sounds like they'll need to find a replacement as soon as possible.

Nothing is official for now, but things could change in a hurry. With the NFL getting started with the offseason, ESPN will want to make sure this deal with Troy Aikman is finalized as soon as possible. Look for the breaking news to potentially be announced soon.
