Week 8 of the NFL is already here! The Tampa Bay Buccaneers face the New Orleans Saints in an NFC South matchup. It's time to continue our NFL odds series with a Buccaneers-Saints Week 8 prediction and pick.

The Bucs are fresh off a blowout win against the Chicago Bears last Sunday. A 38-3 win is about as lopsided as it gets. The Bucs did whatever they wanted and are establishing themselves as Super Bowl contenders once again. Brady is continuing to redefine father time. He is one of the top QBs this year and has a ton of weapons at this disposal. The Buccaneers remember the 38-3 loss last year to the Saints, so expect the Bucs to come out firing and wanting to dominate the Saints.

The Saints clearly look a bit different this year with Jameis Winston under center. Brees is gone and Winston is trying to fill his shoes. He's a streaky QB but has proven to get the job done when needed. The Saints just traded for Mark Ingram to backup Alvin Kamara. These two reunite as teammates and this trade will boost their offense tremendously. The Saints seem to be the only other team in the NFC South that can compete with the Bucs. With that being said, let's take a look at the odds for this weekend.

Here is how the bookmakers have set the lines for the Buccaneers-Saints game.

NFL Odds: Buccaneers-Saints Odds

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: -5.5 (-108)

New Orleans Saints: +4.5 (-112)

Over: 48.5 (-110)

Under: 48.5 (-110)

Why The Buccaneers Could Cover The Spread

The Buccaneers are able to cover any spread they face this year. Weirdly, they are only 3-4 against the spread this year, despite their 6-1 record. They just dominated a good Bears defense and scored five touchdowns against them. They should continue this run and score multiple touchdowns against the Saints. The Bucs will need to keep things simple, as they are a mismatch to any defense they face. With the way Brady is playing, there doesn't seem to be anything that can get in his way.

The Bucs are getting Rob Gronkowski back this week. There are other valuable starters that are hurt for Tampa Bay, but that should stop this team from staying hot. Rivalries always bring out the best in everyone, and so I expect the Bucs to handle their business.

Why The Saints Could Cover The Spread

The Saints can cover this spread if they control the time of possession and establish a dominant run game. Alvin Kamara is finding his groove right now and he now gets his former teammate back in Mark Ingram. Those two played like one of the best duos in history a few seasons ago, so it will be intriguing to see how that duo plays now.

The Saints will need to get to Brady and actually force him to commit turnovers. Both the Patriots and Rams proved this season that if you slow down Brady, you can stay right in the game. That will be the factor for New Orleans on Sunday.

Final Buccaneers-Saints Prediction & Pick

I predict the Bucs to cover this spread. They are flaming hot right now and Brady just has too many weapons for New Orleans to contain. With Gronk coming back, Brady now has his best weapon available. I think the Saints will play well and stay in the game but lose by at least a TD. Both of these teams can score a ton of points, so I expect the over to hit as well.

FINAL BUCCANEERS-SAINTS PREDICTION & PICK: Buccaneers -4.5 (-114) & Over: 48.5 (-110)
