Running backs are one of the lowest-paid positions in all of the NFL. Their style of play in running the ball and finding routes after a handoff from the quarterback just isn't used as much in the league. This is why a lot of players in the position had to endure long periods of time before they got a decent payday. Jonathan Taylor does not seem to have that problem. Apparently, there was huge money involved if he got traded from the Green Bay Packers or Miami Dolphins from the Indianapolis Colts.

Jonathan Taylor has been on the trade market for a fairly long amount of time this NFL offseason. The Colts star still remains disgruntled. But, people from the Indianapolis front office like Chris Ballard refuse to give up on him. While all of that is happening, other teams are trying to swoop in to acquire the running back.

The first thing that would make a player want to play for a team is an easy guess. Money always plays a factor in the decisions of most professional athletes. This is why the Packers and Dolphins were ready to make Taylor one of the highest-paid running backs in the NFL, per Josina Anderson of CBS Sports.

Currently, Christian McCaffrey holds the most expensive contract in the NFL for an RB. He is followed by Alvin Kamara of the New Orleans Saints. This would mean that an offer north of $14 million per year was given to Jonathan Taylor. Will he accept one of these offers before the NFL season starts?
