Oakland Raiders star wide receiver Amari Cooper is back at square one after reinjuring his left ankle sprain against the Kansas City Chiefs this past Sunday.
According to Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Cooper has now missed two straight days of practice, making him unexpected to take the field in Week 15 against the Dallas Cowboys.
Raiders WR Amari Cooper not practicing for second straight day. Not expected to play Sunday vs. Cowboys after aggravating left ankle sprain vs. Chiefs.

The fact that Cooper has been unable to practice at all this week is a clear indication that he is nowhere near being able to play in actual game-action. If he doesn't show any drastic improvement on Friday, it would be farfetched to believe that the Raiders would take the chance of playing him to further linger the ankle injury.
Article Continues BelowIt hasn't been the type of season that either the Raiders or Cooper expected after getting their first playoff appearance in 14 years in 2016. The 23-year-old has put up a subpar campaign, recording 42 catches for 499 receiving yards and five touchdowns.
Outside of his huge performance in Week 7 against the Chiefs where he recorded in 11 catches for 210 yards and two touchdowns, Cooper has been almost entirely non-factor. He has put up fewer than 65 yards in the other 10 games played this season.
Although he was able to take the field last week in Kansas City despite initial reports saying he'd be out, it doesn't appear that scenario will repeat itself against the Cowboys.
