The Arizona Cardinals have undergone some major changes on offense this offseason. However, the team is still in need of a true passing threat outside of wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald.
The Cardinals brought in plenty of candidates to compete for the No. 2 wideout spot in the offense. According to Darren Urban of the team website, head coach Steve Wilks says the role is still up for grabs thus far in organized team activities:

Wilks comments should come as no surprise given how early it is in the offseason. Committing to a certain player right now would only ruin the atmosphere of competition he was referring to. That said, it is still hard to dictate which player could step up into that role given all the additions they have made over the past couple of years.
Arizona managed to bring in a few potential candidates through free agency and the 2018 NFL Draft. First came the signing of former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Brice Butler. He is coming off his best year yet and is likely looking for an increased role after some modest production in Dallas.
The Cardinals also selected former Texas A&M wide receiver Christian Kirk to come in and make an immediate impact. Meanwhile, wide receiver J.J. Nelson boasts perhaps the biggest advantage after playing a minor role in Arizona's offense over the past three seasons. Needless to say, it will be interesting to see how the depth chart shakes out prior to the start of the season.
