The Arizona Cardinals have lost four out of their past five games, which has made their chances of making the playoffs look bleaker. Ahead of Arizona's tilt with the New York Giants, Kyler Murray addressed what has led to the Cardinals stumbling in recent weeks.

“We make it harder than it has to be,” Murray said, via the team's official website. “If we just simplify these games, it's pretty simple in itself, but at the same time it's hard to execute at this level.

Before Arizona's bye week in Week 8, the Cardinals boasted an impressive 5-2 record after taking down the Seattle Seahawks in Week 7. However, losses have come often for Kliff Kingsbury's squad as they've lost three games in a row.

Murray seemed to be on his way to being an MVP candidate early in the season, throwing for 1,847 yards, 13 touchdowns, and seven interceptions in the first seven games. He also tacked on 437 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns in that span.

Since then, while he's limited his interceptions to three in the past five games, he's had only nine touchdown passes and three rushing touchdowns. The former No. 1 overall pick has failed to eclipse 200 passing yards in the past two weeks while combining for only 46 rushing yards.

Despite Arizona's recent skid, Murray is taking a week-by-week approach to the rest of the season.

“I'm not worried about the pressure or anything like that. We've got four games left, and each game is crucial. We know that; everyone knows that. We understand that it's a 1-0 mentality, and we've got to win.”

The dual-threat quarterback will look to get the Cardinals back in the win column against the Giants, who just upset the Seattle Seahawks on the road in Week 13.
